        "content": "<p>Bandung, West Java \u2014 PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operations\nArea (Daop) 2 Bandung, West Java, has recorded 233,872 tickets sold,\nrepresenting 67.6 per cent of the total 345,840 seats provided during\nthe 2026 Eid holiday transport period, as of 12 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Operations Director Awan Hermawan Purwadinata at Bandung Station\nComplex, West Java, on Friday revealed strong public enthusiasm for\nbooking homecoming tickets is also evident in KAI\u2019s 30 per cent discount\npromotional programme, with 54,462 promotional tickets sold out.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that KAI Daop 2 Bandung averages 15,720 seats per day\nover 22 days of the Eid holiday transport period, running from 11 March\nto 1 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This capacity is fulfilled through 28 train journeys per day,\ncomprising 24 regular trains and four additional trains: two Lodaya\nAdditional train sets, the Additional Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng\nservice, and the Additional Kutojaya Selatan service.<\/p>\n<p>Several routes have recorded the highest sales levels and continue to\nattract homebound travellers during the 2026 Eid period, including the\nKahuripan, Additional Kiaracondong-Surabaya Gubeng, Cikuray, Kutojaya\nSelatan, Malabar and Harina trains.<\/p>\n<p>The high sales figures on these routes, he noted, confirm that rail\nhas become the preferred transport mode.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the massive passenger movement, Awan assured that the\nreliability of facilities and services across 54 stations in the Daop 2\nregion would operate optimally, coinciding with a mobilisation parade\nheld at Bandung Station on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the 2026 Eid Holiday Transport Command Post, KAI reaffirms\nits full readiness to serve customers who will celebrate Eid al-Fitr\n2026 with their families. All KAI personnel are committed to providing\nthe best service so that journeys run safely, comfortably and on time,\ncreating a \u2018Comfortable Eid Together\u2019,\u201d said Awan.<\/p>\n<p>To ease customers amidst the heavy passenger flow, KAI Daop 2 Bandung\nhas also deployed ticket cancellation services at five stations.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, facial recognition facilities at Bandung and\nKiaracondong stations are being optimised to reduce queuing time during\npassenger boarding procedures.<\/p>",
