        "content": "<p>The Bandung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) has taken firm action\nagainst the circulation of illegal alcohol in the city. In a surprise\noperation prompted by public complaints, officers sealed four kiosks and\nseized various types of high-alcohol-content beverages.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Bandung Satpol PP, Bambang Sukardi, explained that the\noperation was a direct response to numerous reports from residents about\nrampant alcohol sales in several strategic locations. \u201cWe have been\nreceiving public complaints about the presence of alcohol sales for\nseveral days. Not only in Leuwipanjang, but also in other locations,\u201d he\nsaid on Thursday (11\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The operation initially targeted a kiosk on Jalan Moch Toha. However,\nofficers faced a setback as two other kiosks suspected of selling\nalcohol had already closed their businesses before the team arrived. The\nofficers then moved to the Leuwipanjang area.<\/p>\n<p>Along the Leuwipanjang stretch, Satpol PP discovered three kiosks\nstill operating and proven to be selling alcoholic beverages. Officers\nimmediately confiscated the evidence on site and sealed the premises as\na legal enforcement measure.<\/p>\n<p>Bambang stressed that the operation was conducted without prior\nnotice to ensure effective enforcement on the ground. \u201cWe deliberately\ncarried out this unannounced action as a follow-up to public complaints.\nWe urge the community to continue reporting any violations of local\nregulations (perda) in their neighbourhoods,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>All findings from the operation will be processed according to legal\nprovisions, including through the minor criminal offence (tipiring)\ncourt mechanism. The owners of the sealed kiosks are scheduled to be\nsummoned to the Satpol PP office for further examination.<\/p>\n<p>Bambang also highlighted the dangers of cheap alcohol circulation,\nsuch as ciu, which has the potential to cause significant social harm,\nespecially among the younger generation. He called on business operators\nto support the vision of Bandung as a religious and conducive city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI appeal to alcohol sellers, please stop. Let us support the city\ngovernment\u2019s programmes.
