        "content": "<p>Bandung (ANTARA) - West Java Regional Police have designated six\npeople as suspects out of seven arrested following the clashes during\nInternational Labour Day (May Day) 2026 on Friday (1\/5) in Bandung\nCity.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Public Relations for West Java Police, Senior\nCommissioner Hendra Rochmawan in Bandung on Saturday, said the suspects\nare alleged to have carried out anarchic actions that caused damage to\nseveral public facilities in the Tamansari area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe action resulted in the burning of one videotron unit, one police\npost, as well as damage to public facilities in the form of traffic\nlights,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the six suspects, who are mostly students\u2014namely\nMRN (21), MRA (17), RS (19), MFNA (19), FAP (21), and HIS (20)\u2014have been\ndesignated after intensive examinations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have been proven to have committed criminal acts of arson,\nincitement, and destruction jointly,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>In uncovering this case, the police also seized several dangerous\npieces of evidence, including two Molotov cocktails, petrol fuel, as\nwell as attributes of certain groups such as flags and stickers.<\/p>\n<p>Hendra added that each suspect had different roles, from preparing\nMolotov cocktails, carrying out throws, to acting as provocateurs in the\naction.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, urine tests showed that all suspects tested positive for\nconsuming the hard drug tramadol.<\/p>\n<p>The police also found several psychotropics from one of the suspects,\nsuch as alprazolam and other medicines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is very concerning. In addition to carrying out anarchic\nactions, the suspects were under the influence of prohibited drugs\nduring the action,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the drug abuse case will also be followed up by the\nWest Java Police Narcotics Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>West Java Police are currently still developing the case to uncover\nthe possible involvement of other parties in the action, including\nsuspicions of certain groups exploiting the students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team is still developing through CCTV analysis and data\nextraction from the perpetrators\u2019 mobile phones,\u201d said Hendra.<\/p>",
