The New Student Admission System (SPMB) for primary and secondary
schools in Bandung City for the 2026/2027 academic year is underway.
Phase 2 registration for the domicile and transfer pathways opened
online from 22 to 26 June 2026 via the website spmb.bandung.go.id.

The Bandung City Education Department (Disdik) commenced the
2026/2027 SPMB with an online data collection or account creation
process. Phase 1 registration for the Affirmation and Achievement
pathways has already been completed, with selection results announced on
19 June 2026.

Head of the Bandung City Education Department, Asep Saeful Gufron,
explained that Phase 2 registration for the domicile and transfer
pathways began on 22 June and runs until 26 June 2026, conducted online
at spmb.bandung.go.id.

“Parents of new students, Phase 2 is now open. Please choose the
pathway and school according to the regulations. Ensure the data
uploaded during the data collection stage is correct and complete, as
this data will be validated and verified by the destination school,” he
stated in Bandung on Monday (22/06).

Asep reminded applicants that the coordinate point determination must
match the address on the Family Card. Other requirements, including
uploaded documents, must be clear. For the primary school domicile
pathway, selection is based on age; if the quota limit is reached and
applicants share the same age, selection will then be based on
distance.

“Meanwhile, for the secondary school domicile pathway, selection is
based on distance. If the quota limit is reached and the distance is
equal, selection will be based on the applicant’s age. Ensure the
coordinate point is correct so there are no obstacles during
verification and validation by the destination school,” he
clarified.

Asep noted that the transfer pathway requirements remain the same.
General and specific requirements must be uploaded. Address entry for
the transfer pathway is divided into two parts. On the front page of the
data collection form, the address and coordinate point must match the
Family Card, while the address entry in the transfer pathway
requirements section must be filled with the address corresponding to
the domicile in Bandung City.

“This is the final stage. If there are any obstacles or difficulties
in registering, please contact the origin school, destination school, or
the nearest school for assistance. Additionally, you can utilise the
chatbox service,” he said.

Asep informed that the quota for the Transfer Pathway for both
primary and secondary schools is 5 percent, with specific requirements
including a letter of parental/guardian job transfer (from outside to
Bandung City) issued no later than 22 June 2025, accompanied by a
domicile transfer letter from the local RT/RW. Meanwhile, the transfer
pathway for children of teachers is only permitted for prospective
students registering at the school where the parent teaches or is
assigned, by attaching a teaching assignment letter (SKBM) or an
employment decree (SK) for education staff.

“As for the domicile pathway quota, it is 80 percent for primary
schools and 40 percent for secondary schools (already including a
maximum 10 percent quota for border schools). The exact figures can be
viewed on the spmb.bandung.go.id website. The main requirement is a
Family Card issued at least one year before the registration date, or by
22 June 2025,” he added.

The Head of the Education Department also reminded parents to avoid
parties who promise admission to certain schools through improper means,
especially those involving transactional practices, gratuities, illegal
levies, and bribery.

“Let us together safeguard and oversee an SPMB with integrity in
Bandung City. The most important thing is that children continue their
education, whether in public or private schools. I am confident that the
children are exceptional, and God willing, they will excel wherever they
attend school, especially with the tremendous support from their
parents,” he concluded.
",
