Jakarta (ANTARA) - Member of the Indonesian Parliament, Bambang\nSoesatyo (Bamsoet), has encouraged the Keluarga Besar Putra-Putri (KBPP)\nPolri to strengthen its role as a strategic partner in maintaining\nnational stability and security.<\/p>\n
According to Bamsoet, the existence of KBPP Polri as a community\norganization with strong roots in national values is increasingly\nrelevant in the face of increasingly complex social challenges, ranging\nfrom the increasing threat of cybercrime, the spread of radical\nideologies through digital spaces, to the dynamics of social conflict\ndue to global economic pressures.<\/p>\n
\u201cKBPP Polri must appear as a social force that is able to maintain\nunity, strengthen community resilience, and become a bridge between the\npeople and state institutions,\u201d said Bamsoet in a statement after\nattending the 6th National Conference (Munas) of KBPP Polri in Jakarta,\nFriday.<\/p>\n
According to him, in the current situation of global uncertainty,\norganizational solidarity is an important factor in keeping Indonesia\nsafe, secure, and productive.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the MPR RI for the period 2019-2024, mentioned that\nthe relatively conducive national security situation throughout 2025 is\nan important asset for the sustainability of national development and\neconomic growth.<\/p>\n
Bamsoet explained that current national security challenges have\nchanged very rapidly. Threats are no longer always in the form of\nphysical conflict, but rather the infiltration of extreme ideologies\nthrough social media, the spread of divisive hoaxes, to the increasing\npractice of thuggery that disrupts investment stability and community\nlife.<\/p>\n
He quoted data from the Indonesian National Police which showed that\nthroughout 2025, the police handled more than 325,000 cases of crime\nwith a case resolution rate of 76.22 percent.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the Densus 88 anti-terror squad has also succeeded\nin maintaining a zero terrorist attack status for three consecutive\nyears through a measured approach of prevention and law enforcement.<\/p>\n
\u201cNational security cannot be entirely burdened on state apparatus. It\nrequires the active participation of civil society, which is organized\nand has a strong national commitment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cKBPP Polri has a strategic position because it was\nborn from a tradition of service and discipline that is inherent in the\nextended family of the Indonesian National Police.\u201d<\/p>\n
Conversely, according to him, without strong guidance, the digital\nspace can become a fertile ground for the spread of intolerance,\nprovocation, and new forms of crime. The phenomenon of increasing\nradical propaganda through social media targeting young people is a\nserious warning for all elements of the nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cYoung people must be involved in concrete national movements. KBPP\nPolri must actively be present in the community through character\neducation, digital literacy, social activities, and strengthening\nnational insight,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Bamsoet, who is also the Head of the National Defense Agency of FKPPI\nand Deputy Chairman of Pemuda Pancasila, also highlighted the importance\nof strengthening collaboration between community organizations and state\ninstitutions in maintaining social order.<\/p>\n
According to him, experiences in various regions show that synergy\nbetween security forces and community elements can prevent social\nconflicts from developing into larger security disturbances.<\/p>\n
In several national security events, he said, community organizations\nwere also involved to maintain stability and social harmony in their\nrespective environments.<\/p>\n
He added that KBPP Polri must be an example of an organization that\nprioritizes dialogue, mutual assistance, and maturity in democratic\nlife.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis nation needs social glue that can maintain balance in the midst\nof strong polarization due to political contests and global economic\npressures,\u201d said Bamsoet.<\/p>\n
