        "content": "<p>The Nyepi celebration is expected to reduce Bali\u2019s electricity\nconsumption by approximately 30 per cent compared to regular days,\nleaving the state-owned PLN\u2019s Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Bali with\nsubstantial energy reserves during the religious observance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have approximately 343 megawatts available as reserve capacity\nduring Nyepi,\u201d explained Eric Rossi Priyo Nugroho, head of PLN UID Bali,\nduring a free exodus programme event in Denpasar on Tuesday, 17 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>PLN has deployed approximately 1,300 personnel during Nyepi to manage\npotential power disruptions. Eric confirmed that all power generation\nfacilities have been thoroughly inspected to ensure safety and\nreliability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor this year\u2019s Nyepi, we have deployed approximately 1,300\npersonnel, and all our generators were inspected last Saturday, 14 March\n2026, to ensure adequate energy supply throughout the Nyepi period,\u201d\nEric stated.<\/p>\n<p>In coordinating service delivery with the community, PLN Bali has\narranged with the Majelis Desa Adat (Village Council) to provide\nemergency dispensations for PLN personnel to respond to critical\nsituations or urgent disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also coordinated with the Village Council so that emergency\nresponse personnel can be granted dispensation if needed,\u201d Eric\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Eric urged PLN customers to utilise the PLN Mobile application to\naddress unforeseen circumstances or to process outstanding bill payments\nduring the observance period.<\/p>",
