Bali to meet W. Java in cricket league<\/p>\n

Bali will face West Java in the inaugural National League Cricket
\nmatch played in Indonesia after separately defeating their
\nopponents in the four-team league on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Bali inflicted a convincing defeat upon the more favored
\nJakarta side at the Bukit Oval, Bali, according to a press
\nrelease sent by the Indonesian Cricket Foundation (ICF) to The
\nJakarta Post.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, host West Java had a commanding lead of 328 runs
\nagainst Botabek's 193 when defeating the Botabek team in Lembang,
\nWest Java.<\/p>\n
It was a more meritorious win for Bali with its 120-run win as
\nthere were eight Indonesian cricketers playing in the team.<\/p>\n
They were Soni Hawoe, Agus Abadi, Zachariah Awang, Umbu Frenki
\nShoni, Wayan Suandi, Yeri Rosangnya, Wellinson Soni 2, and Ozzi.<\/p>\n
These were aided by 3 expatriates, Dan Metcalf, Bali cricket
\nlegend Ray Elliot, and Paul Jarvis, who captained the side.<\/p>\n
Jakarta, under the astute captaincy of Sachin, were far from
\nbeing disgraced and began badly by losing the toss. They were
\nsubsequently asked to bat on a pitch of variable bounce and pace
\nand struggled to reach a total of 117 runs from only 28 of their
\nallotted 50 overs.<\/p>\n
Soni Hawoe ripped into the heart of their batting with a
\nsplendid 4-39 from 8 overs. He was ably assisted by Soni with 2-
\n11 from 4 and Zac with 1-26 from 7. However it was Umbu Frenki
\nShoni who snuffed any chance of a recovery with 3-4 from his last
\n3 overs of left arm medium swing bowling, to give him 3-23 from 6
\nfor the innings.<\/p>\n
The final match will take place on Aug. 18 at the Cibubur
\nground.<\/p>",
