The Head of the Bali Immigration Office, Felucia Sengky Ratna, on\nTuesday noted that these foreign nationals were identified during the\n\u201cDharma Dewata\u201d patrol across several areas in Bali.<\/p>\n
Of the 66 foreign nationals inspected, 24 were suspected of misusing\ntheir residence permits and 20 had overstayed their visas, while the\nremaining 22 were apprehended in connection with disturbances to\nsecurity and public order.<\/p>\n
\u201cDigital-based surveillance has proven effective in detecting\npotential violations more quickly and accurately,\u201d Ratna said.<\/p>\n
The operation was conducted within the jurisdictions of immigration\noffices covering areas such as Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Singaraja, Tabanan,\nand Klungkung.<\/p>\n
According to her, officers utilized an integrated digital data system\nto validate documents and detect suspected violations by foreign\nnationals.<\/p>\n
In addition, officers visited business owners and accommodation\nmanagers to disseminate information on the mandatory report of\nforeigners\u2019 presence via the Foreigner Reporting Application (APOA).<\/p>\n
Ratna informed that the 66 foreign nationals are currently undergoing\nfurther examination to determine the appropriate course of action based\non the specific nature of their violations.<\/p>\n
Administrative measures, such as deportation, may be taken if the\ninvestigation establishes that the violations fall within the scope of\noffenses regulated under the applicable laws, she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor every operation, I emphasize that all personnel must work\nprofessionally, avoid abuse of authority, and conduct surveillance in a\nhumane yet firm and measured manner, strictly adhering to legal\nframeworks,\u201d she pointed out.<\/p>\n
