Bali hotel gets warning<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Bali's governor, Ida Bagus Oka, has ordered the
\nSol Elite Paradiso Hotel in Kuta to reduce the height of the
\nconcrete roofs of its main building and pavilions to comply with
\nthe province's regulation on building and construction.<\/p>\n
According to the regulation, the height of every building in
\nBali should not exceed the height of a coconut tree, or about 15
\nmeters, the governor said.<\/p>\n
\"In addition, the building should use Balinese architecture,\"
\nhe was quoted by Antara as saying.<\/p>\n
The 16.25-meter tall hotel is much higher than the 14.9 meter
\nheight stated in its blueprint, he said.<\/p>\n
The hotel owner's most important priority was to build walls
\nbetween the hotel and the Pura Segara Hindu shrine, as stipulated
\nin the building permit, he said.<\/p>\n
The governor also asked the hotel's owner to redesign the
\nhotel's interior to include Balinese nuances. He said the hotel's
\ncurrent appearance was more akin to a Hollywood-style hotel. (04)<\/p>",
