        "content": "<p>Bali Hindus observe Kuningan<\/p>\n<p>DENPASAR: Hindus in Bali Saturday observed Kuningan, the last<br>\nseries of the Galungan holidays celebrating the victory of<br>\ngoodness (Dharma) over evil (adharma).<\/p>\n<p>Hindus flocked to temples and merajan or private places of<br>\nworship to pray and present offerings.<\/p>\n<p>Galungan and Kuningan are celebrated every 210 days. This<br>\nyear, Kuningan coincided with another religious ritual called<br>\nTawur Panca Walikrama.<\/p>\n<p>The Tawur Panca Walikrama colorful ceremony was at Luhur<br>\nUluwatu temple, about 30 kilometers south of Denpasar. It was<br>\nstruck and burnt down by lightning last October. The ceremony<br>\noffered thanks for the successful renovation of Luhur Uluwatu<br>\ntemple.<\/p>\n<p>The renovation project cost Rp 85 million (US$36,000) while<br>\nthe religious ceremony cost Rp 200 million.
