The Provincial Government of Bali is opening up opportunities for\ninvestment cooperation with European countries outside the tourism\nsector.<\/p>\n
\u201cBali not only has strength in the tourism sector, but also has\ndevelopment opportunities in various fields that can provide added value\nfor the regional economy,\u201d said Bali Governor Wayan Koster in a press\nrelease received in Denpasar on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Governor of Bali made the statement during a meeting with\nofficials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by Director of\nEurope II Punjul S. Nugraha, Chair of the Amerop Health Diplomacy\nCoordination Rossy Verona, Deputy Chair of the Indonesia-Europe Business\nForum (IEBF) F. Bernard Loesi, Deputy Chair of IEBF Yudhono Irawan, and\nCoordinator of the Russia, Belarus, Armenia Cluster Function at the\nDirectorate of Europe II Dandy L. Soeparan.<\/p>\n
The Governor of Bali began by outlining the economic development of\nBali Province, including various investment potentials and cooperation\nopportunities that can be offered to international partners.<\/p>\n
Given that not only the tourism sector can be developed,\ninternational cooperation networks need to be continuously expanded and\ndirected towards investments that provide tangible benefits to the\npeople of Bali.<\/p>\n
Governor Koster said the meeting agreed on the importance of\nstrengthening synergy between the Bali Provincial Government and the\nMinistry of Foreign Affairs in attracting foreign investment to Bali.\nCooperation will be directed primarily at the health sector as well as\nthe development of the local creative industry.<\/p>\n
The presence of private and foreign investment is considered\nimportant to support the development of health facilities so that their\ndevelopment does not depend entirely on the capacity of the Regional\nRevenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the support of economic diplomacy and international partner\nnetworks, Bali is expected to be increasingly able to open access to\ninvestment, technology, markets, and global collaboration, while\nstrengthening independent and sustainable regional development that\nremains anchored in Bali\u2019s local potential,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Director of Europe II at the Indonesian Ministry of\nForeign Affairs Punjul S. Nugraha outlined the development of the\nIndonesia-Europe Business Forum (IEBF), a forum that brings together\nstakeholders, Indonesian companies, European companies, and strategic\npartners from the European region.<\/p>\n
The forum serves as an important entry point for expanding business\nnetworks and opening more concrete cooperation opportunities between\nIndonesia, particularly Bali, and Europe.<\/p>\n
The discussion then developed into strengthening economic diplomacy\ncombined with the health sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cBali has great potential to develop health services that not only\nmeet the needs of the local community, but also have appeal for people\nfrom outside Bali and abroad,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In this context, the forum discussed the alignment between the\npotential of the health sector in Bali, the needs of the regional\ngovernment, and the support that can be facilitated through diplomatic\nchannels and international networks. One area of focus is the plan to\ndevelop a hospital with thematic services.<\/p>\n
This development will help Bali strengthen the quality and variety of\nhealth services, while opening up broader space for the involvement of\nother foreign partners and investors.<\/p>\n
He said a number of prospective partners have already shown interest\nin contributing to the provision of medical equipment after conducting\ndirect visits to several hospitals in Bali.<\/p>\n
