        "content": "<p>Bali bombing accomplice gets six years in jail<\/p>\n<p>Agence France-Presse, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>The Denpasar District Court on Thursday jailed a man for six<br>\nyears for harboring Bali bomb mastermind Abdul Aziz alias Imam<br>\nSamudra while he was on the run after the October 2002 blasts,<br>\nlocal radio reported.<\/p>\n<p>The panel of judges found Heri Hafiddin guilty of terrorism<br>\nfor hiding Samudra at Serang in Banten, after the nightclub<br>\nbombings which killed 202 people, mostly foreigners.<\/p>\n<p>They ruled that Hafidin knew that Samudra was the prime<br>\nsuspect in the bombings yet still tried to hide him.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors had demanded nine years but judges took into<br>\nconsideration that Hafidin is still young and was respectful<br>\nduring the trial, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Samudra was arrested in November 2002 and has since been<br>\nsentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>The al-Qaeda-linked Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) regional terror<br>\nnetwork has been accused of carrying out the attack to avenge<br>\nperceived oppression against Muslims worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Hafiddin, 33, had told judges he had not been following the<br>\nnews due to work pressures and family problems and did not know<br>\nat the time that Samudra was a wanted man.<\/p>\n<p>He was also accused of helping Samudra recruit three men who<br>\nrobbed a jewelry store to raise funds for the Bali attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Bali courts have now sentenced 32 people for the attack since<br>\nthe first trial began in May last year. Three of them -- Samudra,<br>\nMukhlas and Amrozi -- have been sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>The last verdict in the current series of trials is expected<br>\nwithin a fortnight.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors want Achmad Roichan, alias Sa&apos;ad, to serve 20<br>\nyears for helping to hide Mukhlas while he was on the run.<\/p>",
