Bali bombers linked to Maluku attacks<\/p>\n
AMBON, Maluku: Police here have linked convicted Bali bombers
\nImam Samudra and Amrozi, as well as deceased master bombmaker
\nAzahari bin Husin, with wanted men in Maluku province.<\/p>\n
Maluku Police chief Brig. Gen. Aditiyawarman said on Saturday
\nthat Imam, Amrozi and Azhari had once stayed in Haya village,
\nBaguala, Ambon.<\/p>\n
"Haya village is the place where Ustadz (cleric) Bahtar is
\nfocusing his activities. He leads a terrorist network in Maluku.
\nHe has met or been in contact with Imam Samudra and other
\nterrorists," Adityawarman said.<\/p>\n
Bahtar is among suspects on the list of people wanted by
\npolice for their roles in attacks in Maluku. "I believe he
\n(Bahtar) is still in Maluku, and will continue searching for his
\nhideout," Aditiyawarman said.<\/p>\n
His statement followed the recent arrest of policeman First
\nBrig. Syarief Tarabubun, who was accused of involvement in the
\nattack on Villa Karaoke in Hative Besar in Baguala district.<\/p>\n
"Our data shows that Imam Samudra stayed in Haya village in
\n2001, at the height of the sectarian conflict in Maluku," said
