        "content": "<p>Denpasar (ANTARA) - Bali\u2019s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has recorded\ntransporting 595,000 passengers over the ten days of the 2026 Lebaran\nTransport Post operations. \u201cI Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has served up to\n595,000 passenger movements over ten days. This figure represents a 4%\ngrowth compared to the same period last year,\u201d stated General Manager of\nI Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Nugroho Jati. Nugroho Jati, in his statement\nin Denpasar on Monday, said that the high numbers were not only on the\npassenger side but also in terms of aircraft movements. Aircraft\nmovements from 13-22 March 2026 reached 3,623, or a 5% increase compared\nto the same period in the 2025 Lebaran Transport Post. This figure was\nalso influenced by the realisation of additional flight requests by\nseveral airlines. \u201cUp to 22 March, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali\nhas recorded serving 104 additional flights out of a total of 144\nsubmissions,\u201d he said. During this Eid al-Fitr homecoming season, the\nmost additional flights were for round-trip routes from Denpasar to\nJakarta (CGK), Denpasar to Surabaya, followed by Denpasar to Semarang.\nNugroho Jati assured that although the airport in South Bali was busy\nduring this long holiday period, all flight operations and services to\nusers ran optimally during the Lebaran Transport Post. \u201cAmid the traffic\ngrowth during this Lebaran transport period, we as airport managers are\ncommitted to always providing optimal services to all users during this\nbusy period. We can report that flight operations, airport services, and\nservices to all airport users are running smoothly, optimally, and\nsafely,\u201d he said. Over the past ten days, airport management also\nmonitored passenger traffic, revealing that the peak arrival movements\noccurred on Wednesday (18\/3) with 71,442 passengers and 412 aircraft\nmovements. \u201cWe project the peak return movement to occur on Saturday, 28\nMarch 2026, with a projection of 73,000 passengers,\u201d he added. To\nsupport the cheer of this long holiday, following the Bali cultural\nparade before Nyepi Day, the airport now features an Idul Fitri\natmosphere.
