Balada Ghoshal clarifies<\/p>\n
This is in reference to my part-two article The future of
\ndemocracy in Indonesia that you published on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6.
\nWhen the article was submitted, there was no reference to my
\nassociation with the United Nations Support Facility for
\nIndonesian Recovery (UNSFIR), nor was there any reference to any
\nstudy being undertaken by UNSFIR on the above.<\/p>\n
I fail to understand how The Jakarta Post got the reference
\nto UNSFIR or any study being undertaken on that subject by the same
\norganization.<\/p>\n
It was an assumption by the Post that has no basis. I would
\ntherefore appreciate it very much if you could publish an apology
\nfor linking my article with any study being undertaken by the
\nUNSFIR.<\/p>\n
I want to reiterate that the article concerned had no
\nrelationship with any studies by UNSFIR. The article was my
\nindividual assessments based on perceptions of the Indonesian
\nelite, and does not represent the views of any organization.<\/p>\n
