        "content": "<p>Bakrie to enter Uzbekistan<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): To strengthen its presence in Uzbekistan, the<br>\nBakrie Group of Indonesia will participate in the bidding for the<br>\nreconstruction of the telecommunications network in Tashkent.<\/p>\n<p>The group said in a statement yesterday that it had discussed<br>\nthe new project and also its other projects in Uzbekistan with<br>\nthe visiting telecommunication mission here.<\/p>\n<p>Bakrie has formed a joint venture with Uzbektelecom to<br>\nparticipate in the modernization and reconstruction of<br>\ncommunications network in Uzbekistan. This joint venture will<br>\nprovide telecommunications services in four regions of that<br>\ncountry worth US$220 million in investment.<\/p>\n<p>Bakrie has also acquired the biggest hotel in Tashkent, the<br>\ncapital of Uzbekistan.
