TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantation has targeted next year\u2019s revenue to double, given its plan to acquire PT Domba Mas Agro Inti. \"The result of acquiring Domba Mas can contribute more to revenues,\u201d Bakrie Plantation financial director, Harry M. Nadir, said in Jakarta yesterday.<\/p>\n
Harry expected the acquisition to be carried out in January 2010. Domba Mas is a plantation and an oleo-chemical processing company, producing 140.000 tons of fatty alcohol per year. However, the maximum production can only be achieved by 2011. \u201cNext year, production will only be 28.000 to 30.000 tons, because it is only the beginning,\u201d he said. With such a large amount of production, Bakrie Plantation wants to become the country\u2019s biggest producer.<\/p>\n
Bakrie Plantation also intends to expand its plantations in South Kalimantan, West Sumatra and Bengkulu to 150.000 hectares by 2012. This will begin to be realized during the first quarter of 2010 by acquiring 14.500 hectares of two palm oil plantations and 3.500 hectares of rubber plantation.<\/p>\n
