        "content": "<p>The government has reported progress on the number of beneficiaries\nfrom the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. As of May 2026, the\ngovernment records that the number of MBG beneficiaries has reached 61.9\nmillion. \u201cThe number of registered beneficiaries reaches 61,991,412\npeople or 74.8% of the total target of 82.9 million beneficiaries,\u201d said\nthe Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), M Qodari, at\nhis office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (13\/5\/2026). Qodari stated\nthat there has been an increase in the number of MBG beneficiaries in\nline with the growing number of SPPG units holding Hygiene and\nSanitation Certificates (SLHS). He mentioned that there are 15,735 SPPG\nunits that already have SLHS. \u201cThe number of registered SPPG units is\n28,390 SPPG units. With 15,735 SPPG units or 55.42% of them having the\nHygiene and Sanitation Certificate or SLHS,\u201d said Qodari. He stated that\nthere are other positive impacts from the implementation of MBG. For\nexample, according to him, there has been an increase in sales from food\nsuppliers as well as improved ease of obtaining nutritious meals. \u201cBPS\nhas issued a report on the results of the survey monitoring and\nevaluation of the free nutritious meals programme. First, the percentage\nof students who finish the entire MBG portion increased from 66.9% in\nJuly 2025 to 69.8% in November 2025, indicating periodic improvements in\nmenu quality and taste,\u201d explained Qodari. \u201cSecond, during the period\nfrom January to October 2025, 85.6% of MBG suppliers recorded an\nincrease in sales value.
