        "content": "<p>The Government Communication Agency (Bakom) of the Republic of\nIndonesia has expressed its appreciation for the 2026 Hoegeng Awards\norganised by detikcom. General Hoegeng is regarded as an inspirational\nfigure of the National Police (Polri).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirstly, we at the Communication Agency certainly appreciate what\nPolri and detikcom have done in organising these Hoegeng Awards. As we\nknow, Pak Hoegeng was an inspirational figure of Polri, renowned for his\nintegrity and his honesty,\u201d said Deputy II of Bakom RI, Timothy Ivan\nTriono, following the award ceremony on Friday (31\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that all members of the Bhayangkara Corps could\nfollow in the footsteps of General Hoegeng, particularly regarding his\nintegrity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe certainly hope that all Polri personnel throughout Indonesia will\nuphold the values long championed by General Hoegeng,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Deputy III of Bakom RI, Kurnia Ramadhana, congratulated\nthe winners. He expressed confidence that through such award ceremonies,\nPolri would become increasingly professional in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, we also congratulate the winners. We are confident that\nPolri will be better going forward, that Polri will become increasingly\nprofessional, and that Polri will shine ever brighter in upholding the\nrule of law,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd certainly, we hope the Hoegeng Awards themselves will continue\nto improve and grow even better in the years to come,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>About the Hoegeng Awards<\/p>\n<p>The Hoegeng Awards are a collaborative programme between detikcom and\nPolri to honour exemplary police officers. There are five award\ncategories in the 2026 Hoegeng Awards: Dedicated Police Officer,\nInnovative Police Officer, Police Officer with Integrity, Police\nProtector of Women and Children, and Border and Remote Area Police\nOfficer.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Hoegeng Awards process began with the collection of\nnominations for exemplary officers proposed by the public from 27\nJanuary 2026. Around nine thousand names of exemplary officers were\nsubmitted by the public before the nomination process closed on 2 April\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>From the large number of submissions, the 2026 Hoegeng Awards\norganising committee carried out verification and initial selection. The\nnames that passed the committee\u2019s verification and selection were then\nforwarded to the 2026 Hoegeng Awards Board of Experts.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Hoegeng Awards Board of Experts held a series of meetings\nbefore finally selecting the nominated candidates in each category. A\npublic consultation was also held from Thursday, 7 May 2026 to Friday,\n22 May 2026, during which detikcom gathered public feedback on the\ncandidates.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 Hoegeng Awards have now concluded.
