        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil\nLahadalia, has assured that the price of avtur sold by PT Pertamina\n(Persero) remains more competitive compared to other countries,\nparticularly in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Bahlil explained that the increase in avtur prices is due to the\nsurge in global oil prices resulting from geopolitical turmoil in the\nMiddle East. Avtur prices, he continued, follow global market rates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is indeed an increase from Pertamina, but compared to avtur\nprices in other countries, especially our neighbours, we are still far\nmore competitive,\u201d Bahlil stated at the Ministry of ESDM office in\nJakarta on Monday, 6 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga\nHartarto, stated that the avtur price at Soekarno-Hatta Airport as of 1\nApril 2026 was Rp23,551 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the avtur price in Thailand stands at Rp29,518 per litre\nand in the Philippines at Rp25,326 per litre. Indonesia\u2019s avtur products\nalso serve aircraft from abroad entering the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAvtur prices are indeed market prices and automatically, since this\nalso serves global avtur refuelling for aircraft from abroad entering\nthe country, the mechanism that occurs is the market mechanism,\u201d said\nBahlil.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency\n(IEA), Fatih Birol, stated that the avtur and diesel fuel crisis due to\nthe Middle East conflict is affecting Asia and is expected to reach\nEurope in April or leading into May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the oil lost in April will be twice as much as in\nMarch. Therefore, he said, this situation will cause inflation and slow\neconomic growth in many regions, especially in developing countries and\nemerging economies facing foreign exchange limitations.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the CEO of the German airline group Lufthansa,\nCarsten Spohr, warned of the threat of jet fuel shortages, particularly\noutside Europe, due to supply disruptions caused by the conflict in the\nMiddle East.<\/p>",
