"summary": "Indonesian Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, accompanied by Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and other top officials, directly oversaw the seizure of 1,699 hectares of illegal mining land in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan, belonging to PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup (AKT), whose permit was revoked in 2017. The operation addresses ongoing illegal coal mining activities that have persisted despite the revocation, leading to corruption charges against beneficial owner Samin Tan for unlawfully continuing extraction and sales in collusion with state officials, causing significant losses to state finances. This high-level intervention underscores the government's firm stance on enforcing mining regulations and combating environmental and economic harms from illegal operations.",
