        "content": "<p>Bahana launches Asian Bond Fund<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Investment manager Bahana TCW introduced on Tuesday a<br>\nlocal edition of the Asian Bond Fund (ABF), a regional securities<br>\nproduct that the Executive's Meeting of East Asia and Pacific<br>\nCentral Banks (EMEAP) launched last week.<\/p>\n<p>The rupiah-denominated mutual fund investment in mostly<br>\ngovernment and state-owned enterprise bonds, will be part of<br>\nEMEAP's second offering of a US$2 billion ABF, after its maiden<br>\ndollar-denominated ABF issuance in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>\"We expect the bonds to help develop Indonesia's bond market<br>\nby attracting local as well foreign investors,\" Bahana TCW<br>\npresident Dwina S. Wijaya said.<\/p>\n<p>The initial offering of some 25 billion of the Indonesian ABF<br>\nnotes will be exclusive to EMEAP members, but a second offering<br>\nin June will be open for the public, particularly for<br>\ninstitutional investors buying a minimum of Rp 100 million (some<br>\n$10,000) of the bonds. -- JP<\/p>",
