        "content": "<p>Bagansiapiapi remains tense<\/p>\n<p>PEKANBARU, Riau: More than 300 security personnel from the <br>\nlocal Police and military remained on guard in Bagansiapiapi <br>\nfollowing prolonged clashes involving youth from different ethnic <br>\ngroups in the coastal town over the last few days.<\/p>\n<p>Adj. Sr. Comr. Pandiangan, spokesman for the Riau Provincial <br>\nPolice, said despite the relatively calm conditions at present, <br>\nthe security remained tight in anticipation of new clashes.<\/p>\n<p>\"The provincial deputy Police chief has left for the town this <br>\nmorning to meet with the two conflicting groups and encourage <br>\nboth to resolve their differences peacefully,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The conflict has raged since early Monday following the <br>\ndiscovery of a dead man who was affiliated to one group, and <br>\nbelieved to have been murdered by the rival group.<\/p>\n<p>Pandiangan said the Police were still investigating the case. <br>\n--Antara<\/p>",
