The stock rally of PT Bach Multi Global Tbk (BACH) has recently
captured market attention. Within one week, BACH shares strengthened by
67.62% to reach a position of Rp 880 at the close of trading on Friday
(31/07/2026).

Amid increasing investor interest in the issuer, the prospects for
the telecommunications infrastructure sector are considered promising
due to digital transformation, 5G network development, and the rising
demand for services based on artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud
computing.

Capital market observer Menteng Kleb Fauzan Luthsa stated that
issuers in the telecommunications support sector are receiving
significant attention from investors. He noted that the increased
interest in BACH is also inseparable from the entry of the Djarum Group
through PT Global Teknologi Perkasa (GTP) as the company’s controlling
shareholder.

Fauzan remarked that investors have traditionally known BACH as a
generator company. However, according to its prospectus, the company
manages approximately 41,000 telecommunications sites, meaning BACH has
become an integral part of the telecommunications infrastructure
ecosystem. “Ultimately, the market will look at company performance.
However, the shift in perspective regarding BACH’s business model is one
of the factors driving increased investor attention,” he explained.

Separately, CORE Indonesia observer Dipo Satria Ramli stated that
growth opportunities in the telecommunications infrastructure sector
remain vast over the next three to five years. He noted that the demand
for telecommunications tower construction and fibre optic networks
remains high due to increasing needs from both individual customers and
corporations.

He added that the need for basic infrastructure—such as electricity,
telecommunications towers, fibre optic networks, and submarine
cables—remains a primary requirement, while the increasing use of the
internet, AI, and cloud computing will act as driving factors. Dipo
noted that the telecommunications support sector plays a highly
strategic role, as these companies determine the reliability and
sustainability of telecommunications infrastructure and the digital
economy.

Dipo also mentioned that unstable power supplies and non-integrated
fibre optic networks in certain regions make the role of support
companies vital in Indonesia. “Without the reliability of internet and
telecommunications, the digital economy cannot be built,” he
emphasised.

Furthermore, the Head of the Centre for Telecommunications Policy and
Regulation Studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Ian
Yosef M. Edward, stated that the availability and reliability of power
systems are top priorities in the construction of Base Transceiver
Stations (BTS). “The selection for BTS installation first looks at the
availability and reliability of the power system. Therefore, it is a
primary priority in BTS infrastructure development,” he said.

Ian explained that the concept of redundancy or backup can involve
one PLN (state electricity company) power source with one backup
generator, or a combination of PLN, batteries, and generators to
guarantee the level of power availability.
",
