Baby boy found dead<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: A newborn baby boy was found dead on Sunday morning
\nin front of the home of Suranto, a resident of the Army's Yon
\nSikon housing complex in Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The baby's body was found wrapped in a yellow T-shirt and a
\n\u000byellow plastic wrapper. Traces of the placenta were also visible
\non the body.<\/p>\n
The body had been placed on the doorstep of the house.<\/p>\n
It was discovered by Suranto's wife, Suparti.<\/p>\n
Police think that the person responsible for abandoning the
\nbaby's corpse had jumped over the fence given that the gate was
\nstill locked at the time the body was found.<\/p>\n
"We then took the body to the Cipto Mangunkusumo General
\nHospital morgue," said an officer from the Jagakarsa police

Explosive materials found at dump<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: A package of explosive materials was discovered at a
\ndump on Jl. Peninggaran Barat II, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta,
\non Saturday, a police officer said.<\/p>\n
South Jakarta chief of detectives Comr. Merdisyam said the
\nexplosive materials were discovered inside five tubes wrapped in
\na plastic bag.<\/p>\n
"We found dangerous materials in five tubes, two of which were
\nlarge," he said, declining to reveal the type of materials or
\nwhether an investigation had commenced.<\/p>\n
"The materials are now in the hands of the bomb squad," he

\nparts of Central Jakarta would experience disruption in water
\nsupplies due to engineering work.<\/p>\n
Palyja public relations manager Maria Sidabutar said that work
\nwas due to start on a 600-millimeter pipe on Jl. Cikini Raya,
\nCentral Jakarta, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The supply of water to residents living around Jl. Cikini
\nRaya, Jl. RP. Soeroso, Jl. Sutan Syahrir, Jl. Moch Yamin and Jl.
\nGondangdia would be disrupted for 12 hours starting at 7 p.m. on
\nTuesday, Maria said in a statement.<\/p>\n
She called on customers living in the affected locations to
\nmake preparations by filling containers with water and using
