        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Quarantine Agency, through its Animal, Fish and Plant\nQuarantine Centre (Karantina) in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province,\nhas overseen the acceleration of fishery product exports worth Rp1.3\nbillion destined for Malaysia, to ensure the fish products are free from\npests and diseases. \u201cWe are ensuring these fishery products are free\nfrom disease, meet quality standards and comply with the health\nrequirements set by the destination country,\u201d said Herwintarti, Head of\nthe Quarantine Centre for the Bangka Belitung Islands. The supervisory\nprocess covered the export of 11 tonnes of fresh fish, comprising 420\nkilogrammes of sea shrimp, 6,510 kilogrammes of squid, and 210\nkilogrammes of swimming crab bound for Malaysia. This was to guarantee\nthe smooth export of fishery commodities from Bangka Belitung to the\nneighbouring country. \u201cThe export of these fishery products valued at\nRp1.3 billion was dispatched via Pangkalbalam Port in Pangkalpinang city\nand proceeded smoothly in accordance with applicable regulations,\u201d he\nstated. He emphasised that the role of quarantine is not limited to\nissuing health certificates, but also serves as the front line in\nproviding maximum protection and optimal service by guaranteeing the\nhealth, quality, and safety of commodities transported from upstream to\ndownstream. \u201cThrough this rigorous supervision, we strive to provide\nassurance to the destination country that fishery products from Bangka\nBelitung are safe, healthy, and fit for consumption,\u201d he said.
