        "content": "<p>Baku \u2014 Azerbaijan supports stability of balanced and predictable oil\nprices amid sharp price spikes resulting from the escalation of the\nlatest conflict in the Middle East, according to Azerbaijan\u2019s President\nIlham Aliyev on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Aliyev stated that the current energy market balance has been\ndisrupted to a certain degree, resulting in unprecedented increases in\noil and gas prices that pose serious challenges for consumers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome parties view these very high and unbalanced prices as something\nbeneficial for oil and gas producing and exporting nations. However,\nthis is not entirely accurate,\u201d Aliyev said when opening the Global Baku\nForum.<\/p>\n<p>Many energy-exporting nations maintain sovereign wealth funds that\nare invested in financial instruments, such as securities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen stock markets fall, these nations may face greater losses\ncompared with gains from rising oil prices.
