Axed politicians to sue PPP chief<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Six United Development Party (PPP) executives have
\nhired a lawyer and will file a lawsuit against the party's leader
\nHamzah Haz for dismissing them.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a press conference, the politicians claimed that
\nthe dismissal was illegitimate, so they would ignore it and keep
\nworking for the party.<\/p>\n
\"We have hired lawyer Egi Sudjana, who will represent us. We
\nare not going to challenge the party decision by the use of
\nforce,\" one of the executives, Zarkasih Nur, said.<\/p>\n
Hamzah signed on Tuesday the dismissal of Zarkasih,
\nSuryadharma Ali, Andi Ghalib and Lukman Hakim Saefuddin as well
\nas Emron Pangkapi and Ermalena -- all high-ranking party leaders
\n-- due to their participation in last week's informal gathering
\ndespite the central board's ban. The event concluded with demands
\nfor reforms and a congress this year instead of 2007 as
\nscheduled.<\/p>\n
Both Zarkasih and Ghalib said they had notified Hamzah of
