Award for West Jakarta Mayor?<\/p>\n

In various places of the city, we have recently seen many
\nbanners congratulating the West Jakarta Mayor on his
\nachievements.<\/p>\n
We, as the residents of West Jakarta, are now perplexed by
\nwhat achievements the Mayor has made so far for the benefits of
\nthe residents.<\/p>\n
During the rainy seasons we still have floods and we often
\nhave power outages and besides traffic jams\/congestion which have
\nbecome a common sight getting even worse because no action has
\nbeen taken to improve public transportation or drivers who stop
\nanywhere they wish or roadside vendors who can do their business
\nfreely along busy streets.<\/p>\n
It seems that the title and authority vested in the Mayor are
\nnot enough to make investors have respect. This can be seen from
\nthe fact that the toll road in front of Puri Indah Mall has not
\nbeen put into operation for two years just because an agreement
\non profit sharing has not been reached.<\/p>\n
Our question is: Why can't the Mayor take an action to help
\nthe residents create a conducive atmosphere to enable them to
\ncarry out their business and work smoothly?. It seems that we
\nwould not be caught in unnecessary traffic jams if the new toll
\nroad is open. The people made a lot of sacrifices when they had
\nto \"give away\" part of their land for the construction of the
\nroad.<\/p>\n
We do hope that our complaints will be responded to by the
\ncentral government who has given the award to the Mayor and the
\nMayor himself who has received the award. The award is the
\nreflection of the wish of the residents who want to make their
\ndistrict a safe, convenient place to live in.<\/p>\n
We would like to hear a prompt positive response from those in
\ncharge in West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
