The incidents that occurred in Jakarta over the weekend have
\naffected one of the pillars of our development efforts, namely
\npolitical stability. A thorough study is needed to limit their
\nnegative effect on the national economy.<\/p>\n
The international perception of our development efforts is
\nstill limited and the information others receive is often
\nlopsided. Foreign electronic and print media have exported news
\nof the incidents, so it is understandable if they question the
\ncurrent investment climate here.<\/p>\n
It is too early to predict what impact the incidents will have
\non the economy, the capital and money markets in particular. We
\nhope that everybody will look on the events with a clear head and
\navoid speculative actions. We have to continue to learn
\nconstantly and prevent ourselves from getting trapped by the
\nactions of people who are out for financial gain.<\/p>\n
Our development efforts have been moving rapidly forward. It
