        "content": "<p>Penajam Paser Utara \u2014 The Nusantara Capital Authority (Otorita IKN)\nis working to establish an energy ecosystem in Indonesia\u2019s new capital\ncity being built across parts of Penajam Paser Utara District and Kutai\nKartanegara District in East Kalimantan Province.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIKN development does not focus solely on physical infrastructure,\u201d\nsaid IKN Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono in Sepaku, Penajam Paser\nUtara, on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Rather, he said, it also focuses on energy ecosystem sustainability\nand competitive business conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The region includes the Senipah, Peciko, and South Mahakam (SPS) oil\nand gas fields located in Kutai Kartanegara District within the IKN\nzone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInter-agency synergy and licensing in support of business sector\noperations in IKN are extremely important,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The IKN Authority is ensuring licensing support for activities\ncarried out by PT PHM, such that collaboration will improve further and\nfacilitate the company in conducting operations and production going\nforward.<\/p>\n<p>The IKN Authority and PT PHM also discussed various opportunities for\ncooperation and collaboration on IKN development and the Nusantara\nEconomic Superhub (SEN). Discussions included each institution\u2019s\nflagship programmes and potential collaboration in the environmental\nsector and strengthening steps to diversify economic sectors in IKN.<\/p>\n<p>General Manager of PT PHM, Setyo Sapto Edi said the IKN Authority is\nsupporting the smooth operation of the company, enabling it to conduct\noperations optimally going forward.<\/p>\n<p>Streamlined licensing, now centralised under the IKN Authority, is\none of the key factors supporting the company\u2019s operational activities.\nPT PHM continues to support energy independence to advance Indonesia\u2019s\nnew capital city.<\/p>",
