Sofjan Jacoeb, who<br>\nadmitted earlier in a police questioning that he issued temporary<br>\nvehicle documents for 11 Mercedes Benz cars, allegedly smuggled<br>\nfrom Singapore, at the end and after his term as South Sulawesi<br>\npolice chief last year.<\/p>\n<p>Police sources have identified the Jakarta-based car importer<br>\nonly as Asun, who allegedly is doing \"his best\" to evade police<br>\narrest or questioning.<\/p>\n<p>Every provincial police chief is allowed to issue temporary<br>\nvehicle documents for a maximum of three cars, which are valid<br>\nfor up to three to six months.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Sofjan's incriminating admission, National Police<br>\nChief Insp.
