        "content": "<p>Police officers began pushing back protesters from the\n#IndonesiaSekarat demonstration in front of the Grahadi State Building\nin Surabaya, East Java, on Friday (26\/6) night.<\/p>\n<p>In the effort to disperse the crowd tonight, a number of individuals\nwere seen being detained by the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtesters, please disperse; the time for expressing opinions in\npublic has expired,\u201d the police commander stated via loudspeaker before\nadvancing to break up the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>After issuing three warnings through loudspeakers, the police\ndeployed personnel from the Riot Control Force and the Anti-Riot Force.\nBrimob water cannon vehicles and Samapta units from the Surabaya City\nPolice were also deployed to disperse the mass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMembers of the public, please leave the area; once again, the public\nis requested to leave the area,\u201d said the Surabaya City Police Chief,\nKombes Pol Luthfie Sulistiawan, at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The crowd was subsequently pushed back from Jalan Gubernur Suryo\ntowards Jalan Pemuda.
