        "content": "<p>Australian police question Indonesians<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Australian government has questioned 23<br>\nIndonesians following Australian-wide raids against suspected<br>\nmembers of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI).<\/p>\n<p>Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Marty Natalegawa said on<br>\nFriday that 11 of the 23 Indonesians were permanent Australian<br>\nresidents.<\/p>\n<p>Following the questioning, one Indonesian, Fadly Jaya Basri,<br>\nwas detained for overstaying, not because of possible links to<br>\nany terrorist network, Marty said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Fadly was arrested on Nov. 13 and has had access to a<br>\nlawyer and an official from the Indonesian embassy.<\/p>\n<p>Marty said Indonesia had asked Australia to give the<br>\nIndonesian embassy notice of any arrest or interrogation of<br>\nIndonesian nationals, so the detained could be given the<br>\nnecessary legal counsel or adviser.<\/p>\n<p>\"The report was given to us on Nov. 6,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The raid was conducted by the Australian authorities following<br>\nthe Bali bombing on Oct. 12, which killed more than 190 people,<br>\nmostly Australian holiday makers. --JP<\/p>",
