Angelo Pandeli, a most-wanted Interpol fugitive from Australia, has\nbeen arrested by a joint team from the Indonesian National Police\u2019s\nCriminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim), Immigration, and Bali\nCustoms. Angelo was detained at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar,\nBali, as he was about to depart on a private jet.<\/p>\n
The Director of Drug Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi\nSantoso, confirmed Angelo Pandeli\u2019s arrest. The police are currently\ncoordinating with Australian authorities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is correct, Angelo Pandeli was arrested at the South VIP\nTerminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, on Saturday (6\/6),\u201d\nBrigadier General Eko Hadi said in a statement on Thursday\n(11\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Brigadier General Eko Hadi said the arrest of Angelo Pandeli, a\nmember of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang, was the result of a joint\noperation by the Drug Crime Directorate of Bareskrim together with the\nClass I Special Immigration Office for TPI Ngurah Rai, the Customs\nRegional Office for Bali, NTB and NTT, Australian Federal Police (AFP)\nintelligence, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).<\/p>\n
Brigadier General Eko Hadi stated that Angelo Pandeli is suspected of\nusing a false identity. In his travel documents, he used the identity of\nGeorge Anderson Mota Correia.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the results of the immigration inspection, it was found\nthat George Anderson Mota Correia was suspected of using travel\ndocuments that were not his own. A further investigation revealed his\ntrue identity as Angelo Pandeli, an Australian citizen holding a\nVenezuelan passport (suspected to be false),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He was caught as he was about to travel on the CAPA Jet private jet\nwith flight number N917CJ on the Denpasar (WADD) to Maputo (FQMA),\nMozambique route, via the South VIP Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai\nInternational Airport, on Saturday 6 June 2026. Angelo\u2019s identity\ntriggered a 100 per cent match on an Interpol Blue Notice.<\/p>\n
Following the discovery, the Examination Section II of Ngurah Rai\nImmigration took action to postpone his departure, then coordinated with\nthe Intelligence and Enforcement Division and Bareskrim. The Criminal\nInvestigation Directorate of Bareskrim subsequently dispatched a team\nled by Head of Sub-Directorate 4 of the Drug Crime Directorate Senior\nCommissioner Handik Zusen, NIC Task Force Head Senior Commissioner Kevin\nLeleury, Unit III Head of Sub-Directorate 4 Assistant Commissioner\nDrago, and Unit V Head of Sub-Directorate 4 Assistant Commissioner Tohar\nto secure the individual concerned.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, we, together with the Class I Special Immigration Office\nfor TPI Ngurah Rai Bali, are coordinating with the Australian Federal\nPolice (AFP) to deport Angelo Pandeli to Australia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Angelo Pandeli is a highly influential transnational organised crime\nfigure and an important member of the outlawed Hells Angels motorcycle\ngang in Australia. Angelo Pandeli is believed to be responsible for\nnumerous large-scale commercial imports of border-controlled narcotics\ninto Australia, both past and ongoing.<\/p>\n
Angelo Pandeli was last seen on 9 October 2025 in Manly, Australia,\nengaging in actions consistent with evading law enforcement. The AFP\nbelieves Angelo Pandeli was attempting to secretly leave Australia for\nCambodia or Vietnam. Information indicates that Angelo Pandeli may\npossess fraudulently obtained Venezuelan or St.\u00a0Kitts and Nevis\npassports.
