        "content": "<p>Australian cattle exports up<\/p>\n<p>SYDNEY (Reuter): The Australian Meat and Livestock Corp (AMLC)<br>\nsaid yesterday Australian live cattle exports are setting new<br>\nrecords and have already passed last year's record total of<br>\n304,650 head in the first 10 months of 1995.<\/p>\n<p>AMLC divisional manager Lloyd Beeby said the initial forecast<br>\nwas for exports of 390,000 head but this has been increased to<br>\nreach almost 500,000 head.<\/p>\n<p>Beeby said Indonesia and the Philippines remain the two<br>\nlargest markets and are increasingly buying more from Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\"Last year the Philippines took 127,000 head of cattle but so<br>\nfar this year shipments have reached 168,000 head,\" Beeby said in<br>\na statement.<\/p>\n<p>\"For Indonesia the figures are 128,000 head last year and<br>\n189,000 so far this year.\"<\/p>",
