        "content": "<p>Auction on the Internet<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Local on-line auction service provider<br>\nLelang2000.com announced on Tuesday plans to invest about US$2<br>\nmillion to further develop its site.<\/p>\n<p>The company said its business had shown good growth with<br>\nnearly 3,000 local Internet users becoming members of the<br>\nservice, with about 776 of them participating in the sales and<br>\nauctions held on the company's website.<\/p>\n<p>Lelang2000.com, which first went on-line in December last year<br>\nwith an initial investment of $200,000, allows its members to<br>\nsell and buy items, including antiques, collectible postage<br>\nstamps and phone cards and various household appliances, over the<br>\nInternet.<\/p>\n<p>The company said it would cooperate with retailers and<br>\nInternet cafes to open outlets for Lelang2000.com members to<br>\ndisplay their offered items.
