        "content": "<p>Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly embedded in the systems\ndriving the economy, transforming business competition, public services,\nand societal dynamics in Asia. In this context, the ATxSummit\u2014organised\nby the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)\u2014returns for its sixth\nedition on 20\u201321 May 2026 at Capella Singapore, attended by more than\n4,000 leaders from over 50 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Through in-depth discussion sessions and strategic dialogues, the\nATxSummit highlights AI\u2019s role in innovation, public interest, and\ndigital growth shaping Asia\u2019s future. The agenda focuses on five main\nthemes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>The role of AI agent-based systems in transforming the business\nworld<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Widespread utilisation of AI for public interest and national\nimpact<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>AI\u2019s role in accelerating scientific discovery and embodied\nintelligence<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Changes in the world of work, skills, and organisations in the AI\nera<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>AI governance in practice<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Global Leaders Driving Change<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s programme involves prominent figures from industry,\ngovernment, and academia, from those building innovative systems to\nformulating policies governing AI.<\/p>\n<p>Among them are World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, OECD\nSecretary-General Mathias Cormann, AI expert Professor Yoshua Bengio\nfrom the University of Montreal, a pioneer in deep learning, and\nProfessor Dawn Song from the University of California, Berkeley, a\ntrusted expert in AI security and machine learning. These speakers will\nreview the application of AI and digital innovation on a large scale to\naddress real challenges, while highlighting the need for alignment\nbetween policy, industry, and research amid rapid developments in\ntechnologies such as AI agents, physically embodied intelligent systems,\nand other disruptive technologies.<\/p>\n<p>From the industry side, several global leaders will share\nperspectives, including NVIDIA Chief Scientist William Dally, Amazon\nChief Global Affairs &amp; Legal Officer David Zapolsky, Ant\nInternational President Douglas Feagin, OpenAI Chief Revenue Officer\nDenise Dresser, and Trip.com Group CEO Jane Sun. These speakers will\ndiscuss the steps needed to build AI-based companies amid ongoing\nindustry disruptions, as well as strategies to stay ahead when AI\ntransforms business models, operations, and global competition.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from companies and institutions such as Accenture,\nGoogle, Grab, HP Inc., Salesforce, SAP, University of Tokyo, and\nTsinghua University will also participate in the ATxSummit, enriching\ncross-industry and research perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>Kiren Kumar, Deputy Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development\nAuthority of Singapore, said: \u201cTechnology and collaboration are now key\nfactors in digital economic growth. The\nATxSummit brings together global leaders to formulate the right AI\napplications for Asia and the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Dialogue Space Over the Past Six Years<\/p>\n<p>Over the past six years, Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) has been a\nstrategic dialogue space in Asia involving policymakers and technology\nindustry players to discuss issues intersecting technology, society, and\nthe digital economy.<\/p>\n<p>As the main session of ATxSG, which is invitation-only, the ATxSummit\nwill be opened on 19 May with a Gala Dinner at Gardens by the Bay,\nattended by Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Singapore\u2019s\nMinister for Digital Development and Information, Josephine Teo, and the\nMinister for Smart Nation and Cybersecurity will deliver opening remarks\non 20 May at the ATxSummit. The event series will also include more than\n25 technical workshops, symposia, industry exhibitions,\nintergovernmental forums, and business networking sessions. One of the\nmain agendas, the Digital Frontier Forum (DFF), organised with Founders\nForum, will bring together more than 100 technology leaders, investors,\nand government officials to discuss deep tech strategies, AI, and\ndigital growth.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the main exhibition and conference session of ATxSG,\nATxEnterprise, will take place on 20\u201322 May 2026 at Singapore Expo,\nattended by 700 exhibitors and 450 speakers.
