        "content": "<p>The Attorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung) has carried out searches\nrelated to a suspected corruption case involving deviations and\nmismanagement in mining. In total, two offices\u2014PT MCM and BBP\u2014were\nvisited by investigators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRaids were conducted at the MCM office located in Kaong Village,\nUpau Subdistrict, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan,\u201d said Head of\nPublic Relations for Special Crimes at Kejagung, Anang Supriatna, in\nJakarta on Wednesday (8\/4).<\/p>\n<p>Anang stated that documents and company assets were seized by\ninvestigators in connection with the case ensnaring the founder of PT\nAKT, Samin Tan (ST). Additionally, 47 buildings and operational\nequipment from offices affiliated with PT ATK were also seized by\ninvestigators.<\/p>\n<p>The founder of PT AKT, Samin Tan (ST), has been named a suspect in\nthis case. Investigators have already detained Samin Tan for the initial\n20 days.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, Samin Tan, who is the beneficial owner of AKT, failed\nto fulfil his obligation to pay the fine demanded by the PKH Task Force\nfor the misuse of mining land.<\/p>\n<p>Samin Tan\u2019s company held a coal mining concession agreement (PKPB2B)\npermit that expired in 2017. However, the company continued excavating\nthe mining site until 2025.<\/p>\n<p>These illegal activities were detected by the PKH Task Force,\nculminating in a demand for fine payments. Instead of paying, Samin Tan\nstubbornly attempted to deceive law enforcement by using invalid permit\ndocuments.<\/p>\n<p>Kejagung suspects collaboration between Samin Tan and related\nofficials who abused their authority to grant illegal mining permits.
