        "content": "<p>The Attorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung) has revealed the reasons why\nthe Prosecutor\u2019s Intelligence Team detained the Head of the Serdang\nBedagai District Attorney\u2019s Office in North Sumatra, Amriyata.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General\u2019s\nOffice, Anang Supriandum, stated that Amriyata is suspected of\ncommitting violations in the performance of his duties. However, he did\nnot provide specific details regarding the nature of the violations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing follow-up actions by the intelligence team, there is\nstrong suspicion of violations, unprocedural actions, and a lack of\nprofessionalism in handling tasks. There is also a conflict of\ninterest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Amriyata is currently undergoing further examination by\nthe Attorney General\u2019s Office Intelligence Team. \u201cIf the results of the\nexamination indicate ethical violations, the matter will be referred to\nthe Supervisory Division. If there is evidence of criminal processes, it\nwill be referred to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes\n(Jampidsus),\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Amriyata is a career prosecutor who recently assumed his role as the\nHead of the Serdang Bedagai District Attorney\u2019s Office. He was\nofficially inaugurated by the Head of the North Sumatra High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office, Harli Siregar, on 5 November 2024 at the North\nSumatra High Prosecutor\u2019s Office Hall.<\/p>\n<p>In this position, Amriyata replaced Rufina Ginting, who received a\npromotion to Assistant of Development at the Bangka Belitung High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office. Prior to being entrusted to lead the Serdang\nBedagai office, Amriyata served as the Head of the Lingga District\nAttorney\u2019s Office within the jurisdiction of the Riau Islands High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office. Amriyata\u2019s career as a prosecutor has largely been\nspent across various regional prosecutorial units before his appointment\nto a district head position.<\/p>",
