Previously, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin praised the Prosecutorial\nCommission for recognising outstanding prosecutors and civil servants.\nHe stressed the awards should not be ceremonial but genuinely\nmerit-based. \u2018I hope this process is not merely ceremonial but a true\nrecognition of deserving prosecutors, not just superficial appearances.\nI hope this collaboration will have a positive impact,\u2019 he stated during\nhis speech at the Attorney General\u2019s Training Centre in Ragunan, South\nJakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026.<\/p>\n

He warned that some awardees later faced legal issues. \u2018As head of\nthe Prosecution, I was slightly traumatised by holding such events. I\u2019ve\norganised awards before, but within a week, some were arrested by us.\nLast year, a \u2018best prosecutor\u2019 was found guilty of misconduct just three\ndays after receiving the award. It was painful,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n

Prosecutorial Commission Chairman Pujiyono Suwadi said the awards\nrecognise prosecutors\u2019 performance, aiming to boost confidence and\nprofessionalism. \u2018It\u2019s not just about enforcing discipline but also\nacknowledging performance, integrity, and dedication of Adhyaksa\npersonnel. This event reflects collaboration between the Prosecutorial\nCommission and the Indonesian Prosecutors Association to build a\nprofessional, ethical, and trusted Prosecution Service,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
