Attorney General Sanitiar (ST) Burhanuddin opened the National\nCongress of the Indonesian Prosecutors\u2019 Association (Persaja).\nBurhanuddin asked the prosecutors to provide input to the\ngovernment.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the past, we could pressure the government through Persaja. But\nnow we are not about pressuring, but at the very least we can provide\nconstructive inputs, inputs that are even better for the institution,\nfor the government of course,\u201d said Burhanuddin in his speech at the\nAttorney General\u2019s Office building, South Jakarta, on Wednesday\n(15\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Burhanuddin wants the prosecutors not to be passive in facing future\nchallenges. Thus, he said, the input provided can help build\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Burhanuddin said that the theme of this Persaja National\nCongress is \u2018Persaja as the Epicentre of Strengthening the Prosecution\nin Safeguarding National Solidarity Sovereignty\u2019. According to him, this\ngrand theme carries a strategic meaning as a prosecutors\u2019 professional\norganisation.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo let\u2019s promote a mindset of strengthening integrity and ensuring\nthat every step of the Prosecution is aligned with the interests of the\nnation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
In addition, Burhanuddin asked the Prosecution to carry out a\ntransformation of the law enforcement system. According to him, law is\nno longer rigid but has evolved into a more humane and dynamic\nsystem.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is also in line with what we are doing at the Prosecution.
