Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has officially dismissed Danke\nRajagukguk from her position as Head of the Karo District Prosecutor\u2019s\nOffice. The position is now filled by Edmond Novvery Purba.<\/p>\n
The transfer is outlined in the Decree of the Attorney General of the\nRepublic of Indonesia Number 488 of 2026, dated 13 April 2026, and was\nconfirmed by the Head of the Public Relations Centre for Law at the\nAttorney General\u2019s Office, Anang Supriatna.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true,\u201d Anang told reporters on Monday (13\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
In the decree, the Attorney General appointed Edmond Novvery Purba as\nthe new Head of the Karo District Prosecutor\u2019s Office. Edmond previously\nserved as Head of the South Nias District Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
\u201cTransfers are a common occurrence and are continuously carried out\nby ministries and agencies, of course, involving transfers, promotions,\nand demotions,\u201d Anang stated.<\/p>\n
However, Danke\u2019s new position remains unknown. Anang only said that\nDanke is now in a functional role.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the Head of the Karo District Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Ms Danke has\nbeen transferred diagonally, meaning she is not in a structural position\nbut in a functional one for the time being. This is also common in\nministries and agencies,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
Danke Rajagukguk had come under scrutiny due to the alleged\ncorruption case involving Amsal Sitepu. Danke and her team are currently\nbeing clarified by the Attorney General\u2019s Office regarding the handling\nof the Amsal Sitepu case.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile awaiting the results of the internal examination of the\nindividual,\u201d Anang clarified.<\/p>\n
In addition to Danke, the Attorney General also transferred Harli\nSiregar, who previously served as Head of the North Sumatra Provincial\nProsecutor\u2019s Office, to the position of Inspector III at the Deputy\nAttorney General for Supervision.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the position of Head of the North Sumatra Provincial\nProsecutor\u2019s Office is now filled by Muhibuddin, who previously served\nas Head of the West Sumatra Provincial Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
As is known, Amsal Sitepu was sentenced to two years in prison by the\nKaro District Prosecutor\u2019s Office in the corruption case involving the\nproduction of village profile videos in Karo Regency. The judge then\ndeclared Amsal not guilty and imposed an acquittal verdict.<\/p>\n
Following the acquittal verdict, allegations of ethical violations\ncommitted by the Karo District Prosecutor\u2019s Office prosecutors in the\nAmsal Sitepu case emerged.
