        "content": "<p>Attention: PLN-Cimanggis<\/p>\n<p>From Koran Tempo<\/p>\n<p>The power supply in Harjamukti village, Cimanggis, Depok, is<br>\nsubject to frequent blackouts, particularly during thunderstorms.<br>\nOn Dec. 26, 2002, for instance, there was a blackout from 4 p.m.<br>\nto 9:45 p.m., even though the last rattle of thunder was shortly<br>\nafter 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Every time we make a complaint to the local office of the<br>\nstate electricity company (PLN), they tell us that something has<br>\nto be repaired. The problem is that these blackouts, ranging in<br>\nduration from 30 minutes to eight hours, have been plaguing our<br>\nvillage for about six years without any improvement despite the<br>\nrepair work.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the local PLN office has never deemed it necessary<br>\nto apologize to its customers for the power failures, although it<br>\nnever fails to announce price rises.
