        "content": "<p>Mataram (ANTARA) - The Minister of Villages and Underdeveloped\nRegions (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, has clarified the issue currently\ncirculating in public discourse regarding the central government\u2019s\nalleged cuts to Village Fund allocations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVillage Funds are not being cut or taken by the centre. What is\nbeing changed is their management,\u201d stated Mendes PDT Yandri during the\nWest Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial Musrenbang in Mataram on\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>Mendes emphasised that these management changes are directed towards\nstrengthening village economies through the Merah Putih Village\nCooperative (Kopdes) programme.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mendes, the benefits of Village Funds will continue to\nreturn to the community in the form of more structured economic services\nvia the presence of Kopdes Merah Putih.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that Kopdes Merah Putih aims to reduce community\ndependence on moneylenders, middlemen, or high-interest online\nloans.<\/p>\n<p>All assets of Kopdes Merah Putih, from buildings and warehouses to\noperational vehicles, will belong to the villages, not the central\ngovernment.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the public not to be easily swayed by inaccurate information\nregarding Village Fund allocations, as every policy taken is always\noriented towards improving the welfare of rural communities.<\/p>\n<p>This policy is enshrined in Ministerial Regulation on Finance (PMK)\nNumber 7 of 2026, signed by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and\neffective since its promulgation on 12 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The overall Village Fund allocation amounts to Rp60.57 trillion. The\nremaining Village Fund quota, excluding that used to support Kopdes\nMerah Putih, is allocated as regular quota valued at Rp25.42\ntrillion.<\/p>",
