        "content": "<p>Athletes receive awards from KONI<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The National Sports Council (KONI) conferred<br>\nsports awards to various parties for their achievements and<br>\ncontribution to sport in Indonesia at a ceremony on Monday<br>\nevening.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients included athletes, coaches, patrons, referees,<br>\nfamilies, companies, and institutions.<\/p>\n<p>In the athletes category, 18 athletes received the Satya Karya<br>\nBhakti Olah Raga  with three degrees: Utama, Madya, and Pratama.<\/p>\n<p>Those who achieved gold medals or any equal world<br>\nchampionships received the Utama award while silver and bronze<br>\nawards were granted to those with lesser achievement.<\/p>\n<p>All medalist winners during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games<br>\nreceived the awards. Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya won the gold<br>\nmedal in the men's double while Hendrawan got the silver in the<br>\nmen's single and Tri Kusharjanto and Minarti Timur won the silver<br>\nin the mixed doubles.<\/p>\n<p>Another silver winner for Indonesia was contributed by<br>\nweightlifter Lisa Rumbewas. Weighlifting also contributed two<br>\nbronze medals from Sri Indriyani and Winarni.<\/p>\n<p>Other athletes included chess Grand Master Utut Adianto for<br>\nhis gold medal at the 2000 Chess Olympiad in Istanbul, Turkey,<br>\nand the Indonesian bridge team winning the world championship<br>\ntitle.<\/p>\n<p>The Satya Karya Bina Olah Raga award was given to 11 coaches<br>\nincluding Imron Rosidi and Lukman from weightlifting; and Herry<br>\nand Agus Dwi Santoso from badminton. Among patrons, Saleh Basarah<br>\nwas recognized for his contribution in boxing, Wiranto in bridge,<br>\nand Djamil Djamal in chess.<\/p>\n<p>KONI also honored six sports organizations for their<br>\nachievements: the Indonesian Contract Bridge Association (Gabsi),<br>\nthe Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI), the Indonesian<br>\nWeightlifting, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Association<br>\n(PABBSI), the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI), and the<br>\nIndonesian Rowing Association (PODSI).<\/p>\n<p>From the private sector, KONI gave recognition to companies<br>\nsuch as Bintang Tujuh, Gudang Garam, McDonald's, Pfizer, Samsung,<br>\nand Telkomsel for their support.
