        "content": "<p>At least three die as ferry sinks<\/p>\n<p>PEKANBARU, Riau: The Dumai Express VI ferry carrying 200<br>\npassengers caught fire and sank in the Malaka Straits on Thursday<br>\nmorning killing at least three people.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported that search crews had so far found three<br>\nbodies while more than 100 others were still missing.<\/p>\n<p>The Bengkalis Police Chief Capt. Asman Yunir said survivors<br>\nwere brought to the Bengkalis local hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The ferry, plying the Dumai-Bengkalis-Batam route caught fire<br>\nonly half an hour after it left Bengkalis port.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses said the fire proceeded a loud blast. The ferry sank<br>\na few hours latter.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the passengers were saved by the Dumai Express V,<br>\nwhich was sailing near to the unfortunate ferry.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Dumai Express V, due to limited capacity, could<br>\nonly pick up a limited number of survivors.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers who survived the incident said they saw many others<br>\ntrapped inside the sinking ferry.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have yet to determined the cause of the fire.
