ASX, JSX to hold seminar<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and the
\nJakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) will cosponsor a one-day seminar to
\nbe held at the JSX building Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Australian Embassy said in a statement yesterday that the
\nseminar would focus on providing practical advice to corporate
\nmanagers on how to deal with the funding and human resources
\nproblems caused by the rupiah's sharp depreciation against the
\nU.S. dollar and the imposition of the International Monetary Fund
\n(IMF) reforms.<\/p>\n
The seminar will feature leading figures from Australia and
\nIndonesia including Australian risk advisor Martin Brown of
\nCoppers & Lybrand in Sydney, Cliff Rees of Price Waterhouse in
\nJakarta, and Erry Hardjapamekas, senior executive of PT Timah.<\/p>\n
Other speakers include Professor Bob Nicole of Melbourne
\nUniversity and Kevin Evans of ANZ Investment Bank in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The chairman of the country's Capital Market Supervisory
\nAgency (Bapepam) I Putu Gede Ary Suta is expected to deliver a
