Asuransi Allianz Life responds<\/p>\n
Referring to the letter from Benny Sudjati entitled Experience
\nwith Allianz Insurance in The Jakarta Post on Feb. 4, 2003, we
\nwould like to explain as follows.<\/p>\n
On Dec. 12, 2002 Benny Sudjati, with a prescription from a
\nphysician for Zinaxin High Strength, went to pick up his medicine
\nat the dispensary of Omni Medical Center. At that time, one of
\nthe dispensary employees informed him that the drug was not
\ncovered by the insurance company since it is categorized as a
\nfood supplement or as traditional medicine.<\/p>\n
On Dec. 20, 2002 Benny Sudjati submitted a medical claim (for
\nreimbursement) for Zinaxin for the amount of Rp 127,750 to PT
\nAsuransi Allianz Life Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Upon inquiry, the official distributor of Zinaxin in
\nIndonesia, PT Brumas Libera Corpora gave the following
\ninformation:
\n* Zinaxin High Strength is categorized as \"Health Food\/Food
\nSupplement\/Traditional Import.
\n* Zinaxin is registered at the Supervisory Agency for Drugs and
\nDrinks (BPOM) as a \"Traditional Import\" with registration number
\nbatch code TI 024304491.<\/p>\n
In line with the statement of PT Asuransi Allianz Life
\nIndonesia, chapter 9 article 4 of the insurance policy, the
\ncompany has rejected the claim from Benny Sudjati.<\/p>\n
In order to clarify the matter, PT Asuransi Allianz Life
\nIndonesia arranged a meeting with the management of Bank of Tokyo
\nMitsubishi where Benny Sudjati is employed. The management of
\nBank of Tokyo Mitsubishi have understood the matter and consider
\nit settled.<\/p>\n
