        "content": "<p>Astra to meet creditors this month<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: PT Astra International, Indonesia's largest car<br>\nmaker, will meet with creditors later this month to discuss a<br>\ndebt restructuring plan for the company.<\/p>\n<p>Astra currently has debt worth $726 million and 881 billion<br>\nrupiah (US$98 million), with annual payments due until 2006.<\/p>\n<p>But the company is seeking ways to reduce this burden. It will<br>\nmeet with creditors in Singapore July 31, when it is expected to<br>\noffer several debt restructuring options.<\/p>\n<p>The company's creditors include Isuzu Motors Asia Ltd.,<br>\nMarubeni Corporation, Itochu Corp., and the Japan Bank for<br>\nInternational Cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>An Astra spokesman said Thursday the company is still waiting<br>\nfor the results of a study from financial adviser Rothschild<br>\nbefore making a final decision on its debt plans.<\/p>\n<p>\"Everything depends on the financial adviser,\" he said. \"After<br>\nwe receive the report we will discuss it with the management and<br>\nthen the creditors.\" -- Dow Jones<\/p>",
